We attended the Conversation Toolkit session not really knowing what to expect. What I found was that simply having a structure — the prompts, the printed sheet — changed how the conversation felt for everyone in the room. It did not solve everything, but it gave us a starting point we did not have before.

The Paperwork Workshop was genuinely helpful. My household documents were scattered across different folders, different rooms, and in some cases just loose in a drawer. Leaving with labelled folders and a checklist of what still needed to be found was worth the morning alone. I would have liked a bit more time at the end, but the facilitator was kind and very patient with our questions.

We used the Shared Arrangements package. Two members of our family were not speaking well and we needed a way to write down what we had agreed about the house. The written plan they produced was clear, short, and something all of us could sign and keep a copy of. Kinora was very clear about what they were and were not able to do, which I appreciated.

As an international family in Thailand, I was not sure where to turn when we needed to think through some household changes. Kinora offered exactly the right kind of support — informational, calm, and very clear about pointing us to lawyers and other professionals when those were needed. The fact that everything was in plain English was important for us.

I came alone to the Paperwork Workshop and felt a bit out of place initially since most others were there as couples or small families. But the facilitator was very welcoming and the checklist was useful regardless. It made me realise how many documents I was missing that I should have copies of. Four stars — good value for what was covered.

The Shared Arrangements package helped our family create a simple written record of how we would handle a number of ongoing household responsibilities. The written plan was clear enough that even family members who were not at the session could read it and understand what had been agreed. The briefing session at the end was a thoughtful addition.

In Depth

How some families used Kinora's services

These brief accounts illustrate the kinds of household situations our services are designed to address. All details have been changed to protect privacy.

The situation

A mixed-nationality couple in Chiang Mai needed to have a structured conversation about how to handle shared household responsibilities during a period when one partner's work schedule was changing significantly. Previous conversations had become circular and difficult.

What Kinora provided

A Calm Conversation Toolkit Session, lasting about ninety minutes, provided both partners with a shared set of prompts and a simple written structure for the conversation. The session was held in our Loi Kroh Road room, away from the home environment.

The outcome

Both partners left with a printed toolkit they continued to use over the following weeks. The conversation did not resolve every issue, but it became more productive. They returned three months later for the Shared Arrangements package.

"Having a neutral place to sit and something concrete to work from made a real difference to how the conversation went."

The situation

A family of three adults — parents and an adult child — needed to organise several years of accumulated household documents after the death of a fourth family member. The paperwork was spread across multiple locations and no one was sure what existed or where it was.

What Kinora provided

The Household Paperwork Sorting Workshop gave the family a systematic checklist approach and enough labelled folders to begin organising what they had. Referrals to appropriate professional and official sources were provided for documents requiring formal handling.

The outcome

The family identified and organised approximately sixty per cent of the documents they needed during the workshop itself. The checklist gave them a clear list of what remained to locate. They described the workshop as "a practical start to something that had been too overwhelming to tackle alone."

The situation

Two adult siblings needed a written, shared record of arrangements for looking after a family property while one sibling would be overseas for an extended period. They wanted something plain and clear that both could refer to, and did not need legal representation.

What Kinora provided

The Shared Arrangements & Summary Package produced a two-page plain-language written plan covering communication schedules, document storage, and how decisions about the property would be raised between them. A briefing session confirmed both siblings were comfortable with the content.

The outcome

Both siblings kept a copy of the plan. When a question arose about the property six weeks later, they reported that the plan gave them a shared reference point that prevented what might otherwise have become a disagreement. They noted clearly that the plan was not a legal document, which Kinora had been clear about from the start.
